Once upon a time there were three bears, a great big Daddy Bear, a middle sized Mummy Bear, and a teeny tiny baby bear. They always had porridge for breakfast. One morning the porridge was too hot. So the three bears went out for a walk while it cooled down.
A little girl named Goldilocks was walking through the woods. When she came to the three bears cottage, she peeked in through the open window.
‘‘Mmm’’ she said.
‘‘Porridge it smells yummy it will fill my hungry tummy.’’
Through the window she climbed.
Goldilocks tasted Daddy Bear’s porridge. ‘‘Yuck’’ she said. ‘‘It’s too salty’’.
Next she tried Mummy Bears porridge ‘‘Yuck’’ she said. ‘‘It’s too sweet’’.
Last of all she tried Baby Bears porridge ‘‘Mmm’’ she said. ‘‘Just right’’.
She ate it all up right till the last drop. Goldilocks tiptod further into the cottage and saw three chairs. ‘‘I think I’ll sit down’’, she said.
The big chair was so hard she went straight off. The middle sized chair was too soft and she got stuck. The teeny tiny chair looked just right. But then when Golidilocks sat on it, CRACK! It fell into pieces.
Goldilocks was feeling more and more curious so up the stairs she went.
There were three beds and she tried them all. The great big Daddy Bear’s bed was too high. The middle sized Mummy Bear’s bed was too low. But the teen tiny bed felt just right. Goldilocks lay down and fell fast asleep. Soon the Three Bears came home to eat their breakfast.
‘‘Someone has been eating my porridge’’ growled Daddy Bear.
‘‘And someone has been eating my porridge’’ said Mummy Bear.
“Someone has been eating my porridge and has eaten every last drop of it”. The Three Bears looked at their chairs.
‘‘Someone has been sitting on my chair’’growled Daddy Bear.
‘‘And someone has been sitting on my chair too,’’ said Mummy Bear.
‘‘And someone has sat on my chair and it has broken into pieces’’ cried Baby Bear.
The three bears marched upstairs. ‘‘Someone has been sleeping in my bed’’ growled Daddy Bear.
“And someone has been sleeping in my bed too” cried Mummy Bear.
“Someone has been sleeping in my bed and she’s still here!” cried Baby Bear.
All the noise woke up Goldilocks. What a fright he had when she saw the Three Bears standing over her.
“Oh No” she cried. Goldilocks jumped up. scampered down stairs. And the Three Bears never left their window open when they went out for a walk in the woods again. THE END :)
